Qbject Dock Icon Development

Newbie seeks assistance

Monday, June 13, 2005 by Scott Caruso | Discussion: Stardock Support General

Just started incorporating custom made icons into my Object Dock Plus program. Now I want to create and develop Icons for object Dock. What app do I use? Still learning how the many programs work. I have them all.

Did some googling, apparently photoshop will convert to .png files. Is this the preffered app?

Photoshop is preffered by many, but Paint Shop Pro is also a favorite of many skinners (myself included). Basically any app that will save png files, and does what you want, is the one to use.

you can even use icon developer to export as a 128x128 png.

heck, if you create in paint you can convert to a decent png with irfanview.

i've even done a bmp in paint - converted to gif (picking a color to be transparent) with giffy - than converted to png (saving transparent color) with irfanview.

both giffy and irfanview are free.

i like playing
