Installing Desktop Themes

Friday, June 10, 2005 by Pokkill | Discussion: DesktopX

I'm having trouble installing a DesktopX theme. Most themes I've downloaded come in .desktop, but this one is just a zip folder. What can I do to load the theme?

Change the .zip file extension to .desktop. If it doesnt work, rename the file back to .zip...unzip it and the .desktop themes must be zipped inside.
The other way around works also.

I just tried renaming the zip to .desktop, but when I double-click it, the URL bar shows that it's still a zip. "...\DesktopX\Themes\Tronnix.desktop.zip" And when I open up the zip, all it has is a bunch of picture and dll files.

Un-hide the file extensions in Folder Options. Now change the extension.
