Thanks for a try , no help though. I have tried that already and tried again but the result is the same. I have tried reinstalling the program, delete the icons and download them again but doesn't help. By the way the weird edges are on every iconpackage not just on iCandy.

Check the Icon Size setting under Settings in IconPackager, and if it's not 32 (or 16, 24, 48, 64 ie a standard icon size) then change it.

It was 32. I just noticed that when I change iconpackage I get this warning:
The icons for the WindowsXP Classic Start Menu cannot be changed.
This is currently a limitation within the operating system, and not a problem with the iconpackager application.

The classic start menu warning always pops up. It looks like you're using the XP start menu anyway, and your icons obviously changed, so don't worry about that. I think the problem is that you're not using 32bit color, which is required for smooth alpha-blended edges. Open your display properties, go to the settings tab, and make sure 32bit color is selected there.

Hey, that really was the reason for weird edges. Now the edges of the icons are smooth again! Thanks a lot
