Unable to Remove Desktop Object

Email Checker

Wednesday, June 1, 2005 by Neenie | Discussion: Bug Reports

I downloaded a "mailbox" today. A nice brass one with the word "mail" on it. When I closed up my browser it was already on my desktop. I like it, but I decided for now not to use it. It is supposed to work well with POP 3 Server. However, I cannot remove it from my desktop. I right click on it and all it will allow is for me to "Configure email account". It does not give me the option of going to "properties" or "remove". I have tried in vane to find the file so I can delete it, but I can't and I can't seem to find it again through wincustomize. I wanted to "comment to the author" about what happened to see if he/she could tell me how to delete. Rebooting my PC doesn't help.

Do you have any suggestions.

Regards,

Neenie

You are probably using the DesktopX client, you have to be in Builder mode. Bring up the DX welcome screen, click edit, and go from there. Once Builder is loaded, you can then delete the mailbox object.

Thank you i dott and Bichur for your replies. I kept working from that angle (desktopX) and finally I found it and away it went. I'm just new at this program. I got it for my birthday on Monday so it will take some time for me to learn how to navigate.
Thanks again,
Neenie
