Delphi7 failed after installed Stardock Central

Wednesday, June 1, 2005 by Bassanio | Discussion: Stardock Support General

I have reinstalled my computer cuz I suspected Object Desktop conflicted with Delphi 7 Enterpirse and made it to give Initcc32.exe error every program reset.

Now, after I installed Stardock Central, Delphi 7 shows 'This application has failed to start because rtl70.bpl was not found!' and didn't start.

Please help!

For some reason Stardock thinks that no one ever uses Delphi and decides to delete the delphi BPL's from windows\system32 and puts them in its own directories. This will happen every time you update one of the apps written in Delphi (SDCentral, Skin Designer, etc.).

To fix this re-copy the BPL's from the stardock directories back to system32

As for Delphi compatibility, I use D7 enterprise and I have no problems using OD. I did have to give up WindowBlinds (lots of random errors) and there are performance issues with WindowDock that you might run into if you're running it.
