Admin or Mod please

A logon I uploaded seems to be stuck, showing processing files for 11 or 12 hours now. Is called AutumnXP.
This is second upload, first time showed processing files for 4 or 5 hours then vanished.

Patience.

They don't live here 24-7 (only seems that way) and you are told when submitting, it might take up to 5 - five - days.

'Processing' is a black hole moderators don't have access to - you need to wait for an Admin to dig it out

If it was awaiting moderation would not have posted thread. The four newest logons created 5/21, in gallery 5/21.

Cavan, mine have been taking 1-2 days lately...used to be a few hours not too long ago...just seems like it's a bit longer right now

Thanks Boss, I know that right now the site errors are getting most attention, but processing files for over 12 hours
does not seem right. As Fuzzy said processing is a black hole. Can't be moderated if not released from processing.

Haha, hope im not off topic here on this: Whenever i upload a wallpaper, it is not accepted. and trust me, they are completely original, follow all the rules (that I know of, a page stateing all of the rules would be very nice, ok, sorry, guidlines). I spend a good deal of time making them, and they are literally shit upon by the admin. (half the reason I made my own site...). I am getting tired of it, and i have tried multiple times.

It has vanished again, awaiting moderation 1, BeatNik uploaded 20 mins. ago, none processing file any more.
Logon nowhere now? No email notification.

The 'in-processing' issue is a current bug, it seems, and it's been passed on to the guys with the wrenches...

Bootskins, Logons, and Wallpapers are all predominantly a single image and as such are comparatively simple to 'create' in skinning terms and are therefore moderated.

With walls it's about at best 1 in 5 is approved, with boots and logons the 'odds' are better....more like 50-50.

With boots it's usually an issue with 4-bit colour not all that flash for some images...too grainy.

With Logons it's mostly 'whose image is it?' or was it just the background or did the 'skinner' actually skin the logon panel, buttons, etc.

It's nothing new here at Wincustomize....this "not everything is accepted - policy".  If you feel you really MUST have everything you ever create hosted and visible for all then the best avenue is to do as Citizen Phazonmaster has suggested....make your own site for them.

BTW...no-one 'shits on them', literally or otherwise.  We have to, and do deal with them as evenly as possible.

A little respect/appreciation for the hours the admins/moderators put in wouldn't go astray.

Think of your typical 40 hour week that you 'might' work....then double it and add 20 and think 'for gratis'.  That's what I do just to win your undying appreciation, and others much the same...

It was moderated.  Perhaps a more 'original' wall image would be better...

Yeah SD, that's exactly right. This site IS moderated more than other sites. We would have tons and tons more walls on here that all look alike and many more horrible ones, and that is not the focus of this site. Go to DA, you can upload most anything there if you need to see it posted and get reaction to it...it is a huge community and there are a lot of very talented and knowledgeable people there. But you won't find the quality and quantity of skins there as you will here. The 2 sites just have different focuses. I find many more good quality walls there just because there are so many more, but there is a heck of a lot more garbage too. It's just a good idea I think to have more than one option for displaying your work, especially wallpaper because it is a pretty small chance of getting it accepted here. Walls are just not the focus of this site and I'm sure it's kind of a good feeling to get one accepted here....not that I would know....rejected... I even got a logon rejected like Caven..I didn't know they were moderated from some of what is here....oops, sorry jafo...but hey..it's still only one site. Lots of things on here look like junk to me but to the person that made it and apparently a moderator ot two they were ok. Different tastes happen, don't get offended if something of yours is rejected...we all don't like the same skins.

ok, sorry about that one. it was a bit of a low blow, as an admin for my own site i guess that i should set good examples...

as it is, i do respect how hard you guys work on keeping us happy.

but, do you have to reject all 300 (well, not quite, but ya know what i mean) of my wallpapers i submit?

Database shows 2 [two] wallpapers submitted by you, both moderated.

Hardly 300, so it seems you are prone to exaggeration as well as insult.

You're fortunate that the Wincustomize.com admins are not quite like the admin of YOUR site.....and are not following his example....

Just one question Phazonmaster. Why would you keep submitting them? There are plenty of other places, and good places too, that you can submit them too? What is it about acceptence here that is so special? Probably the fact that they are moderated and it would be great to have one accepted here. And that's not a bad thing, I've put a couple walls in and got rejected...it would have been kinda nice to get them up here..but they are up other places. There is some sort of something here that makes you want to try.
