Does it not apply the icons to your non-Classic Start Panel?

Well the title of this post is it must be something simple, well its so siple I doubt anyone would even be able to realize what I was doing wrong.
I didnt hit the apply button.
There we have it, i was just double clicking on the Icon Package i wanted to load the error message is just a warning saying that if you have it in classic then it wont work (after you hit apply) and the reason no one sees it that often is because the have the handy click here to not display again box. Which I have no done and then all is well. God I'm a retard. Well I am off to sleep now! I am shaking my head in disbelieve as I type! Ahhh well I'm sure we have all done something so dumb.......
Naaaaaaahhhh thats got to take the cake!

I'm often stumped only to find, after much aggravation, that what I'm looking for is right in front of my face.

My wife has the gift of, after hours of me troubleshooting anything from computer to vacume, she says something like "Does this switch on the wall behind the picture of my parents have anything to do with the problem?"

properties, start menu tab, select classic start menu apply, select start menu apply.
