Can I run a Widget TWICE ?

Wednesday, May 4, 2005 by tcmiller | Discussion: DesktopX

Is it possible to start a widget twice. Example, have AeroWeather run for two cities, instead of using a widget that supports two cities.

I tried to run the silica drive meter twice (one for each drive) but failed. I was thinking about copying and renaming the widget. You might try that.

It depends on the Widget, and how it is set up.

If it depends on the Widget, then can anyone make the AeroWeather widget able to run more than once. It does not run twice, not even when I rename it. I now have a temp solution. Run the Widget and DeskTopX with the Object. Regards, TCM

What I do in those cases is IMPORT the widget into the DesktopX environment and re-export them with the "allow multiple instances" checkbox checked.
