Menu bar problem since installing Icon Packager

I decided to try Icon Packager and installed the shareware version (2.50e). Immediately I noticed that the text for my menu bar looks odd in some windows. There's an outline around the words on the menu bar that wasn't there before. I've included a screenshot of the issue.
This really wasn't an issue until I installed Icon Developer. I can't see some of the text within the window (which is also in the screenshot).
I've played with my video driver settings, removed and reinstalled the video driver, and tried a different font. Nothing seems to help. It also doesn't happen on all windows... only about 1/2 of them.
Running WinXP SP2. Any thoughts?
