OMNI mail widget problems

Monday, May 2, 2005 by BlueDev | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I mentioned this in the comments, but didn't want it to get completely buried.

Is anyone else having problems with the OMNI mail widget? It doesn't seem to be connecting to the GMail aspect of it. Other accounts work fine, but even when Woodbrige's Gmail widget shows mail there, opening OMNI (after closing the other widget) results in nothing showing up. I suspect it may have to do with a change to the atom feed from Gmail, but am not sure. Any ideas?

Most pop accounts use port 110 for incoming mail. Gmail uses port 465. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Yes Gmail changed the way the atom feed URL works, Byron Todd was able to fix it in his dotGmail widget http://byrontodd.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=4658&SkinID=3969&LibID=3 he let me use the code so my widget works, looks like Matt needs to do the same.

Thanks so much S&K, Woodbridge and Tiggz. It is simply an awesome widget and I missed using it.
