I saw the folloeing in an newsletter and thogut of DX media players. I hope someone who is a better developer than me might be able to use it.
"Let the Scripting Guys guide you through organizing your music files for Microsoft Windows Media Player simply by using scripts. You can create a new playlist, print a copy of your song list, and copy the song information to a database or spreadsheet." Link

LOL, I just got finished making 3 dxobjects using the ideas from that article. Pretty interesting indeed. Although they state that there are sometimes problems when you run these scripts while WMP is open. I have found that statement to be true. Specially with the playlist functions.
