MS Office 2000

Can anybody advise how to uninstall the MS Office 2000! I have some problems with MS Word and have tried to uninstall the whole MS Office.
Although I uninstalled it from the control panel, deleted all folders and installed again I found all my letters inside the word again. This means that the Office was actually not really deleted. In the registry I couldn't find any trace of the Office.

Can anybody advise how to delete the Office completely without leaving any trace in the PC and reinstall completely from te scratch.

Usually your *.doc files are stored in "My Documents". Uninstalling Word does not affect thse files. And when you reinstall Word (or almost any other word processecing software) it goes to My Documents as the default . . . and there you are.

Thanks for your statement, but could be that I didn't preciselly specify the problem.
I don't want to uninstall my documents (letters).I want to uninstall MS office or MS word only to try to eliminate my problem with Word. What I wanted to say is that if I uninstall and again install Word completely my problem would be solved. But the problem is that it seems that word or Office can't be uninstalled definitively and some part of it remain saved somewhere on the hard disc.
So I mean : How to erase the complete word or office from my PC without any "trash" left which may cause my problem?

Can you advise on this point.

What you have are left over registry entries. This is why your "recent" list showed up once you re-installed. You might try CCleaner after you uninstall office. Otherwise you may have to manually scan the registry for entries. This can be daunting at best and disasterous at worst.

What is CCleaner! Is this for MS office only or generally?

Keep in mind though, anything that messes with your registry has the potential for disaster.

Always (always, always, always, always.....)back up your registry before you go "a-tweakin'"

As far as whatever problem you were having with MS Office, have you tried reinstalling it (now that you've 'mostly' uninstalled it) to see if your problem is fixed?
