Curious about MS' Avalon

how would it affect Object destop

Sunday, April 17, 2005 by starkers | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I've seen small snippets regarding MS Avalon but can find little information on it: what it does and how the Nov 2004 public release would affect XP sp2. Equally to the point, its possible affects on Object Desktop and other Stardock products. I'm all for enhancing my computing experience but am unsure on this one and want to play it safe, so if anyone here has tried it or can shed some light on it, that would be greatly appreciated

thanks for those links Cavan - had earlier probs navigating to forum areas for some strange reason.
i'm some the wiser, but it seems not alot applies to me at present, and as there's no obvious answers as to how it could affect OD, i'll give avalon as miss for the time being cos i fear messing up wot i got. if its not broken, why fix it, hey!

No problem Starkers. Don't know much about Avalon myself, but from what I have seen seems more useful to developers
than home users.

The beta Avalon is mainly for developers at the moment so they can try out the technology. You wouldn't get anything out of it as a client user.
