system tray

Does anyone know the best way to get your system tray onto the dock. I am using the free version and have tried some dockets but they didnt seem to work.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

To add a SysTray section, configure the dock in question, and in the Dock Proerties window, select Dock Contents. There you have the option to turn on SysTray OR Taskbar OR Neither.
You can have a SysTray and other dock items in one dock, but not a SysTray and a Taskbar.
If your having trouble adding items to a dock with a SysTray, keep in mind that If the dock is positioned on the right side of your screen, then the SysTray should be positioned on the right side of the dock (set this in the Dock Contents section as above). Then you should be able to add items to the left side of the dock.
After adding a SysTray to a dock, if it doesn't work right off, try a reboot with ObjectDock set to start automatically or put a shortcut in your startup folder. If it still doesn't work, then you may need to investigate if you have a process (sually comes with StarDock products) TrayServer.exe running. Someone else can help with that, I hope. I've heard conflicting info on the nature of this process, but some folks need it and don't have it.

I don't know if it is available in the free version, but under edit this dock, go to Docklets. Choose the Dock Tray docklet. That is your System tray!

It appears to me that if the system tray is on a dock, that is all the program allows to be put on that dock.
What this has meant is that to compose a taskbar replacement, I ended up creating 3 non-tab docks:
1. One hugging screen bottom left with start menu, some apps, and showing running apps;
2. One hugging screen bottom right with clock and temp docklets;
3. One hugging screen right bottom with system tray contents.
I would have preferred being able to put the system tray contents along with the docklets in dock #2, but I found no way to do it.
I don't know if system tray is even an option in the free version. But if my perception of the dock content limits is correct and you could put the system tray contents in the free version dock, you would be limited to one system tray dock period.
I hope I am wrong. I would love someone to tell us both how to put system tray contents along with other items on one dock.
If I am right, I hope this limitation will be eliminated in a future version of OD.
