If I was to jump in the air, I would reach outer space... if I was still alive that is due to the fact that the air around the planet would have left.
not to worry, because if we live long enough, we would have to live underwater anyway.

I would've said sound is defined as the vibration of air particles. If vibrating air particles hit a microphone which then records them, and are later replayed through a speaker that recreates the vibrations... what do you hear?

Sound is the vibration of air particles, not necessarily the action of those vibrations entering our ear... so it's there whether it enters our ear or not. (I guess??)

Uh...ok...I thought it was hollow!
On another note...if you see a girl walking down the beach in one of them seashell bathing suits and you hold her up to your ear....you can hear her scream!
And if that doesn't vibrate paticles in your ear nothing will!

I thought the earth was hollow, too. Well, not hollow, but liquid (molten Rock) which pans out to "not solid" and space to flow. But I am no geographer.
