DesktopX V.3 shock!!

Tuesday, April 5, 2005 by ChromeDome | Discussion: DesktopX

HI guys
Just upgraded to V.3 and everything seems to have gone weird. I can't create objects or list the objects on my current theme etc. I get an error message saying 'Systray Not Supported or Wrong Version'. Can someone let me know what I am missing or point me to a link to let me know where I have gone wrong.

To create and edit in DesktopX 3 you need to start the "DesktopX Builder". You start it by right clicking the DX icon in the system tray, then "DesktopX Welcome". You should now be faced with a new window where at the far bottom there should be a button labeled "Create". Alternativly you can locate the "DesktopX Builder.exe" file in the DesktopX folder where you installed it. Note, "DesktopX Builder" doesn't come with the Client version of DesktopX 3. Only in the "standard" and "pro" version.

For the systray, this is something that's caused by SDC. Some files as located at the wrong place. See this thread https://www.wincustomize.com/Forums.aspx?ForumID=165&AID=68121#528884 Note: remember to restart you computer after you moved the files in order for it to have any effect.

Or after doing that you could make short cuts to those functions thats what I finaly wound up doing makes it much less complex

Or make a widget to call those functions!
