Docked TAB show/hide behavior

Adjusting "hide" speed

Tuesday, March 29, 2005 by JBellNY | Discussion: ObjectDock

Does anyone know if it is possible to lengthen the amount of time a docked tab (top of the screen) stays visable (without the mouse pointer being over it)?

My problem is that occasionally I'll move my mouse pointer to the top of the screen to unhide a docked tab. It displays fine, but when I then move the pointer down slightly to select a TAB from the dock I'll move to far and the dock will roll back up and hide. It's probably too much caffeine that is causing me to miss in the first place, but I'm wondering if there is a setting to adjust the speed at which the dock hides itself.

Any ideas?

Many thanks in advance.

You could turn off "Mouse activation" (Tabbed Dock Properties > Positioning) That's the only solution I can come up with at the moment..........

Under Object Dock Properties try selecting the "Performance Options" on the General Page and set the autohide speed to "Very Smoothly" makes it just a bit slower in AND out depending on your systems graphics abilities.
