Monday, March 28, 2005 by lifeofamaniac | Discussion: DesktopX

ok ive basicly posted this question befor tonight but i guess i didnt explain what was going on good enuf. So ill try again. I just got version 3 and i have an older object running, it is getting on my nerves and i would just like to simply get it to go away, like in the older versions of desktopx were there were 3 ways to get rid of them. Well this object now wont let me right click on it, so i cant remove it that way, and i cant find any onther way to remove things in this version so if some would would please give me some pointers on how i could just remove this one object that would be very helpfull thank you.

Nothing happens when you right click the object? Weird. I'm still working on figuring out 3 - I had just got used to the old version. This builder thing throws me.

Have you tried the builder? Right click the tray icon and choose Desktop Welcome, then create. It will take over and then you should be in the edit mode.

If that doesn't help, try loading a new theme and don't save the one you wsnt the object to disappear on.

Where you running a widget? There is a widget manager in DX3 that gives you a list of running widgets and let you close them if you like. Have a look in your DX folder.
