HTPC effort

Just out of curiosity. Is there any one/group currently working on developing a Home Theater PC enviornment? A la Myth TV, Freevo, Tivo, etc... DesktopX seems like it would be the best enviornment to build the perfect interface to your HTPC.

yea, they have... BUT!
How about a much smaller, more compact, amybe even remote control version? How nice it would be to be recording TV shows while typing or surfing the web.
