Why can't I get my import to properly skin firefox?

Saturday, March 19, 2005 by boopish | Discussion: New Users

So, got two imports almost finished..."Tempted" works great for everything (but I think the font is still a little large for 1024, but it's really readable in 1280) even firefox; but i"m having a wee spot of trouble with "Javan" - the menus's in firefox just pull down a nice little line...no items, just a line. Where did I go wrong?

Are you talking about a FireFox skin, a WindowBlind skin, or something else?

""no items, just a line. Where did I go wrong?""

I have run into this same problem with a couple different WB's and FF concerning the browser menu items.. I have no idea why it happens, cant help you there, I would be interested to know, if any skinners have an answer..

Zero.

Nevermind....I must have set something wrong when I was checking the import( I was working on my import of a vs and was checking everything to be sure there was no "pink" showing in anywindow and that everything was working correctly)

I reverted to an earlier save and all was well again. I rechecked twice, and couldn't reproduce the problem, so am at a loss as to why it happended. And it was limited to Firefox - IE was fine.

But I do have another question or two....once I have this all checked out and ready to go, where do I put the permission and the wallpaper? There are matching wim apm. rainy and sys skins available, do I point to them or should they be included in the zip? I see that there is "zip for distribution" button, but what I need to know is how do I include my permissions?? And should I submit it here, or just send it to those who asked?

Put permission text doc and wallpaper in skin folder, win amp, rainy, sys skins point to them unless the are your
own skins, could be included . When you have everything you want in skin folder then zip, rename to .wba upload.
Permission has to be included with skin.

Thanks. I thought that might be the case, but wanted to be sure!

No problem boopish, also make note of permission in description when you upload. When ready to zip do not need to use
SkinStudio, if XP right click foder, send to, compressed zip.
