So clever how Google utilizes 'Pyramid selling techniques' to coerce unsuspecting oafs into doing all the legwork FOR them by promoting/distributing to prospective customers [read: newbie oafs].
Ah...to be 'in' with the 'In-crowd'.
I guess "hey, use gmail and lose what tenuous rights you may still have to communication privacy and be smart-bomb targetted for advertising" was not a good promotional angle.
Them blokes in the ponytails and collarless shirts sure know their Juju....

you have to wait a couple days youll see invite friends in the left side it will have 50 invites also you can use gmail with incredimail email program if think mozilla you can use also
