Object Dock - startup problem

I love wincustomize's object dock. Problem is that my pc (XP with SP2) doesnt let it automatically startup even though i have enabled automatic loading of OD at xp start up. I tried to force this by dragging a shortcut of the program file in the startup folder and it seemed to start up ok but it automatically shuts itself down after 45 -60 mins. Initially i chose the xp taskbar to be hidden while OD was running but when OD would shut down on its own, the taskbar would remain hidden. After 2 weeks i have removed OD from the startup menu and enabled the windows taskbar so i can continue with my work. OD is still set with an automatic start up but hasnt happened yet. I also updated OD with the newer version.

Save any ObjectDock theme files, image files, background files, and docklet files that you have added to the Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock sub-directory.
Disable any "Load at start-up" options in custimizing software (that you can), return Windows to the default theme including icons, and unload all programs except Anti-virus and Firewall.
Uninstall ObjectDock, Reboot machine.
Go to "C:\Documents and Settings\"user name"\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock" folder (where "C" is the letter drive, and "user name" is the name on account when you are logged in), and delete any ObjectDock folder there - this clears cache.
If you cannot see the "Local Settings" folder mentioned above - open "My Documents" and go to "Tools>Folder Options>View tab" and select "Show hidden files and folders", then click "Apply".
Go to "C:\Program Files\Stardock" folder (where "C" is the letter drive), and delete any ObjectDock folder left there.
Reinstall ObjectDock, start ObjectDock and use the default theme to verify install is good.
If all is well, copy your saved files back to their correct locations, use the ObjectDock configuration panel to load or create your favorite theme, then resave the theme so it will be written to cache and the OS knows what to do when it starts.
Unless you have really limited amount of memory or a conflict with another program, you should be okay.
