MHT vs PDF

Normally we use Adobe Acrobat for creating our documentation. But for DesktopX 3, we're looking at switching over to MHT. It seems to be more flexible than Acrobat and the output seems quite good still.

HTML doesn't have quite the same layout flexibility. Otherwise I would have used HTML.

Why? Have you uninstalled IE completely from your system or something? It's just using IE to view the file.

Talking about IE (sorta) is there any news on your tab extension for it? Would be so useful right now as having to support a lot in IE in work.

hang on... .mht, like in the file format that IE uses when you save a complete webpage?

I prefer pdf... Especially for a new product (to me), I like to print out a manual and read it. I also like to be able to refer to the manual while looking at the running app to learn how it works. To me, that means a printed doc with table of contents and page references and indexes.

I have been reading the 2.x pdfs a lot this week. 
I like them more than the mht.
The font sizes are inconsistant in the mht in regards to headings, sub-headings, and content. Everything blended together.
The search in Acrobat is superior.
The pdf is nicer when printed (which I do).
That being said; thank you so much for all the documentation that you provide for DesktopX. Stardock has gotten so much better with thier docs. Good job!

Hmm it's true that PDF files is better in quality and etc, but Those abode programs always takes a whole minute or more to load on my laptop.
That said, I do prefer em to be PDF files.

How about just using standard HTML? 100% of windows has suport for that.
