Themes are sluggish

Just curious about why the themes I've downloaded very sluggish in operation as opposed to the ones that come with the DesktopX program? I'm using a 1.4 ghz Pentium with 512mb of ram. I'm new to this so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes just DesktopX themes. So far I've tried "Toxic" and "Digital Revenge", my computer seems like it is really taking a serious perfomance hit. Is there some minimum system requirements to be able to use these themes?

The reason depends on how they where created. Could you give some examples of the sluggish themes?
