What Happened to Litestep.net?

A while back Litestep.net had a message saying they were temporarily down, now all you get is a refused connection, not even a 404.
Isearched around a little, and the same question has been asked in some other forums, but no one seems to know.

I've been poking around on the various LS sites and have not seen anything at all anywhere. It's actually kind of strange and mysterious.

that snippet is from #litestep on irc.freenode.net, it's the first place you should check when you have a doubt.

To tell the truth, I rarely use irc or any other IM service anymore, but thanks for the info. I hope those guys get their hardware issues taken care of.
As cheap as hosting is these days I'm kind of surprised they don't just have someone host it for them. Oh, well.

Thanks, horiz0n. I'm working on 1st LS theme, and would have liked to poke around their forums for some answers. Usually someone has already asked the newbie questions and saved you the trouble of posting.
Sounds like they (LS.net)may be starting over if they can't get at their backups. I have to maintain the backup tapes for 5 servers at work and I know those tape devices aren't cheap. Looks like LS.net runs on a pretty tight budget.

although it seems the backup drive also failed, no data was lost.

The only constant in Litestep sites is their frequent demise and resurrection.
At least with Wincustomize.com there's some reliability/continuity with accessing our archive of themes....
