Icon Size problems

can't go above 72px

Monday, March 7, 2005 by NightwingDragon | Discussion: IconPackager

I've had IP enhanced for awhile now and just started creating larger icons for use with it. I have included new 72px, 96px, and 128px in the new icon set I am creating. The problem is, I can't seem to get my pc to display icons past 72x72. When I switch the icon size to 128x128 it actually makes them the standard 48x48! I even went into the default display properties in XP and unchecked Large Icons to see if XP was restraining the images, but no such luck. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated! I really want at least 96x96 icons!
thank you.

Where do you want to have those large icons? I don't believe XP is capable of having large icons on the desktop. You will need IconX to do that: https://www.stardock.com/products/iconx/download.asp

The desktop is not an issue, because it's hidden by DX. I was hoping I could get them at least 96x96 globally thru the entire PC.
