I think that image should be used in a 3D desktop environment. That would be cool
I agree with that. It would fit as one of the 'worlds' for something like 3dna.

I got decent amount of downloads off of the other one I did -> http://weaksid.wincustomize.com/viewskin.aspx?skinid=7269&libid=8&comments=1&SID=4536&UID=496325
But some people said about the background. So the only big change between the two was the background.(Wanted to know if this style of a background was better then the previous) I did work on it last night though and it looks diffrent from the preview a little. I have to make a adjustment and put a better floor under the office so it doen't look like things are floating. I also zoomed out so there was empty space on all 4 sides to put things. I have seen people design wallpapers that seem to be a grid for the other skins they do. Like if you have the wallpaper up, download the objectbar that goes with it, it actually blends in.
I guess this brings me to a idea that I could do. Fix up the wallpaper and release it with other things that would go with it. Like a theme/suite.

but Not sure how I would go about trying to make it into something like that.
Me either (i still can't skin anything.
But I looked in one once, it's basically just pics. It does use script I believe. They also have a community. I played with it for a while, but it seems to be more broadband oriented - the wall display for 24 sites takes way too long on dialup. Was fun to play with tho.
Maybe you could copy one, change the pics to yours (just the outside shots) - change the script to reference your pics and rename it - maybe 7th level loft - using the loft one as an example.
If you try it and it works, let me know - I'll want a copy so I can fire it up again.

That desk is just way too uncluttered to be realistic ...
So I should add alot more?

As soon as I make some more adjustments here, I'll post a updated image. First I have to do two projects for class tomorrow tonight (Yea, I know, last min).

Just, y'know, what's on everyone's desk...
Papers (mountains of it),
5 day old half-empty coffee mugs,
Vital data on media in impossible formats eg WORM, 8" floppies, 100M ZIP disks etc,
Non working pens,
Outdated supplier catalogs
etc, etc.
At least that some of the stuff on my desk...

KB, USB, Firewire, Suspect LAN cables that you're going to test one day...
Computer mags from 8 months ago,
Post-it notes galore,
Unopened envelopes (bills!)
#1 Child's pre-school, ceramic, pen-holder sculpture
Mouse mat from some now-defunct tech startup
Are you getting all this, Weaksid?

They way it looks I'll have to design alot of these in 3D Studio Max or see if there are any free for use out on the net like I did with some of the items. I had to create most of the content but found some of the items that would of took me a while to do on the net.
I'm going to remove the coke can and put a coffee machine in the office to make it better.

Here in a little bit I'm going to write down the lists that people have made and see what I can come up with.
Thanks for the help, that's what I was looking for

I thought it wasn't going to take much to update it, but if I want to make it ALOT better, then I have alot of work ahead of me

The 3rd party models look pretty good, and some of the others look fine, but other parts like the cubicle the background elements and maybe most important the textures and materials are killing it in quality contrast. And just in my opinion I don't find any draw to having a random office cubicle sitting in an old school level of doom, or wolfenstein.

I just need to add several more items. I know the quality isn't the greatest with the background. If I could find a better terrian program that isn't very hard to use, then I could fix that.

- Revamp of Office Hell
- Create a Firefox skin to go with it (Since I know how to make one)
- Maybe create a WB skin to go with it (First one)
Maybe I'll start with that and see where it goes.

Personally, I dont care for the wallpaper, but, that has nothing to do with the quality of it, it has quite a bit of depth and is very obvious you spent some time on it. I just dont know if someone would want perhaps a "Mirror Image" of their personal "Office Reality" LoL!
My advice as to whether you should pursue refining it, I really cant say, there may be alot of people that really like it if it is offered with perhaps the right theme/WB/desktopX ..etc..etc..
Anyway, theres my "2bits" about it,
prolly not worth much but at least it is honest.
Take care,
Zero.
