Right Click - Get back Winzip, Win RAR and More

Friday, February 18, 2005 by Mediamacros | Discussion: Object Desktop

Before installing the right click utility I had some tools such as right clicking on an item and adding it to a winzip archive. Now this is gone. How can I get this back and still keep the right click settings that Stardock provides?

I am really confused. Right Click only pops up if I click in a blank area on my desktop. Is this not the way it is for everyone? Any other time I right click I get the normal menu. Right Click doesn't screw any of that up for me. It only pops up on the desktop, not right clicking on anything. I just right clicked on a file and had all the normal options I always have.

All the right-click context menus work fine for me. WinRAR, PowerAmp, etc. OD Right-Click has no effect on my context menuse...only the desktop menu.

Yes, it's only for the desktop rightclick menu. Rightclicks on files are unchanged for me also.

One time I lost similar things like right clicking on an image to set as wallpaper, or send to zipped folder. I went insane, nearly reinstalled windows, then someone (i forgot ) that apparently knows more than the common man, fuzzy logic or someone said...

go to start/run type in "regsvr32 shimgvw.dll" and hit enter.

fixed it for me, try it yourself.
