Problems Widgets & Objects

Hey guys Every time I download an object or widget from wincustomize and then try to load it a window pops up saying either DXwidget.exe has encountered a problem and has to shut down or the same problem but it says desktopX.exe ...... Have any of you had this problem before? What can I do? Thank you for your help!
