Is there a way to MAKE a widget start in a certain position?

Friday, February 11, 2005 by Psikotik | Discussion: DesktopX

I have a widget that I imported from a DX object that doesn't start in the same position as when I turned off my machine. Is there any way to make it remember it's position? It's kind of annoying having to move it every time I start up.

I have this same problem.

I have dual display system, and every time I start my machine up, some widgets + icons have moved completely OFF of both screens. I've also seen some widgets 'disassembled', with their layers separated into different locations.

I don't know if this is because I have two monitors, but sounds like moving widgets is a bug. Hopefully this can be fixed for the next release - how do you submit a bug to them?

You'll have to add a bit of code to the object before exporting it out as a Widget. Thats if you're using DesktopX 2..... Find a widget that remembers its position and look in the script.

This isn't a problem with DX3 which is only a couple of weeks away!
