I just do not understand why this is posted as it is?
Why isn't it published as a Suite, in the Suite category?
I just looked, it isn't there. It is in the WB category.
I also truly worry that this is a bad precedent, to start.
Posting it as an article, or news, but as a forum post is not proper.

And yes, the new forum system is specifically designed for this sort of thing. Note that it's in the "New Releases" forum.
Look carefully at the forums and you'll note that there are lots of forums here grouped into just a handful of general overall views. You should be going to the particular channel you want to read about, not the top level category.

I understand where you're coming from, except that that's what the General/New Releases sub-forum is there for. 
So, that forum may get flooded, but it's be limited to that forum (and only a given max number of posts from a same sub-forum can be displayed in the "home" page.

hmmm..weird.
It's showing up as "General", then when I enter the thread it goes to the "General>New Releases>(Subject)
I wasn't aware this meant it was a channel. Am I going to a default, view here or something. I see the tabs to the right.

CygnusXII, Under the "General" category at the bottom you'll see a drop_down list that says "Select a Sub-Topic" and "New Releases" is in that as a sub topic of "General". Also you can choose it using one of the tabs at the top of the "General" category.

Thanks for picking it out Brad. I can understand that it might seem strange that it appears in the forums (fora?) as well as in the general "new skins" areas of the site. I think that the concern Cygnus was trying to make was just that you might end up with some self-promotion stuff going on in there along the lines of "hey look at the great new skin wot I designed - why not download it now so that my stats improve!"
Obviously, I wouldn't dream of such blatant egotism.

Does anybody know when Stardock Central is going to be updated so the different chanels are visible? As it is now, everything goes into the 'General' section.
Being on dial-up, SDC is just easier to use than the Webpage to browse the forums.

Announce a skin/suite release as a forum topic? I mean if this becomes a precedent, then the board could become flooded,
with each author promoting thier releases, for every catagory. I am not saying this to bitch, just thinking out load.
I understand that this skins author is not self promoting, but the idea is still the same.
