Wincustomize Tray applet questions

I found and installed the tray applet yesterday, configured it to report on only wallpapers (all I am interested in), and "checked for new updates". There were no updates and the "view updates" list was empty. Since then, I've checked for updates numerous times (always "no updates found..." message) and viewd updates (always empty). I've checked the site and new wallpapers have been added, but none are showing up in the tray utility.
1) Is there any documentation on the purpose and usage for this utility?
2) How do I configure it to let me know when new wallpapers are available, and display them in the "view updates" dialog?
