Widget Problems With Desktop X [Alpha]

Friday, January 7, 2005 by mltiplprsnalit | Discussion: DesktopX

I updated Desktop X yesterday to the new 2.40b[a]. Now it seems that many widgets won't load, or if they load they do not appear on the desktop. I tried clearing the widget cache. Didn't work. I uninstalled DX and then installed again. Still having problems with my widgets. Running Win 2000 on one CPU and XP SP2 on the other. Same problem on both. Is this related to :
- Improved dxaxhost threading. Now scripts run by default in the DesktopX
thread. This offers much faster and smoother execution, especially with regards
to callbacks.
There is a new option to still specify scripts to run in a separated thread
in the script editor.
????????????????????
I GOTS TO HAVE MY WIDGETS BACK, MAN!

Same thing happened to me. I had to uninstal desktopx, download the freebie and reinstall to get it to work. I did not update to the new version after the install of the reinstall.
