Logon not working anymore

I'm not sure what happened, but now when I restart my computer, logonstudio doesn't show my account name for me to click on when restarting my computer. It just shows the logon briefly and boots up just without showing my account name. I was using the neOS logon and decided to try a new one and it just stopped working normally. Any ideas what might have gone wrong or how to fix it?

I've only had my account (I'm the admin account) and no password had to be entered and it's always worked before. I switch the logon and it suddenly stopped working. *shrugs* I'm going to be doing a format/reinstalling on a new drive so I hope that will fix it.

You really, really, really, really should have your admin account password protected. A hacker or virus or bot can execute ANY command (format, delete, etc.)or program on your computer from your admin account.

I was thinking about that too, I had it protected on win2k I think, but then when I upgraded to XP it wasn't asking me for my password anymore. I'm not too knowledgeable with all the OS stuff so since I'm having my comp-wiz uncle install the new hd and OS, I'll have him set it up so it asks for my password or something.

Click the start button, click control panel, click on "user accounts", click on Administrator, or whatever name you have it set up as, and then follow the directions to set a password. Like Aufisch said. Then your Logon screen has to come up to allow anyone access. Thanks for helping with my smilies, Bebi Bulma.

... lets try this again.
The logon-screen is only really shown if one of the following applies:
1) You have more than one account on the same computer
2) You have at least one account which requires a password to be entered.
since the logon-screen gets bypassed and Windows boots up without asking you for a password, I suspect you have no password on your account.
If you still want to use the Logon-screen you can do one of the following:
1) enable your guest account by: Control Panel > User Accounts > Guest Account > turn on your guest account
2) add a password to your own account (this is recommended for security reasons, especially if you have administrator privileges). Control Panel > User Accounts > click on your own account and choose the option to use a Password.
