Ok listen up all.
I find this really dissapointing.
If I upload a skin I want it to be judged on its qualities and NOT on me.
What did I do wrong? Tell me please? I was a regular here, had the time of my live on this site with its great people but seriously, what the fuck are you guys trying to do? get the fun out of skinning for me?

Dangeruss and treetog? Dangeruss was ok with it... treetog wasn't,
WHEN I SENDED TREETOG ANOTHER EMAIL ABOUT THE SUBJECT HE DIDN'T FIND IT IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO ANSWER IT
In that case, I will just decide on my own.
They have never done any commercial thing. You wouldn't hear me complaining if somebody would start using styl skinner as its busines. And then that name has been an active username of me and their name is only.... A NAME.
They aren't active with it anymore, have no copyrights on it, have no trademarks on it... well, too bad then.
OK so this is what I am trying to say:
I love wincustomize, its a great site with great people. I know some of you don't agree with me but can we please act normal so I can atleast share my work here.... or do I have to go over to DA and just leave WC allone? Tell me, because if I stay I do want a little bit of respect and not every skin I upload to get a -2.
And how the hell can somebody go from Master Apprentice to Apprentice? explain that too please.

It was. In 2001. If Dangeruss and crew wanted to be nasty (which I doubt that they would be because they are very nice and ethical people) they could claim trademark rights to it as they used it professionally and could prove their use much earlier.
But, that is neither here nor there, because that is really a skindicate vs skindicate issue. However, the main issue is that a really incomplete beta skin was uploaded. Why not just wait until it was finished before submitting? It has nothing to do with who you are, the skin is *very* incomplete, so that is why is has a low rating.

Can you clarify something for me? Did Treetog originally say no to using Skindicate for your commercial venture?
If so why do you think he will change his mind if you email him? If he's already said no and he doesn't subsequently email to say yes then take it that the original answer still stands.
To me this is no different than someone emailing to ask if they can port someones skin and getting no response. It doesn't mean they are OK with you porting and in the same way it doesn't mean he's ok with using the name.
In addition you are essentially trying to set yourself up as commercial competition to his company using and old name that is partially associated with him.
Now I wonder why he might not want to give you the name...

If you think that your personel Respect has an affect on your skin rating than Your Wrong. Even I Got a skin of 10 and few over 7 with MY Respect.

If you look on your website, (aside from the site and logo being a knock-off of The Skins Factory), your name is a mix-up between "Skindustrie" and "Skindicate". If you refer to your 'company' as "Skindustrie" half of the time, why not stop using the Skindicate name and use SKINDUSTRIE. It's a perfectly good name, and you won't catch so much flak over it.
So why do you insist on being so stubborn about it? Are you TRYING to lose what little credability you had? Do you want to be a "pro skinner", this really isn't the way to go about it. I get the feeling that you're young, immature and inexperienced. Well that, and you upload unfinished work.
I suggest you change your name, read Essencay's comments, fix what's broken...and try put this whole thing behind you. If you keep it up, you will never EVER expect to be liked and respected.

Someone please tell me that we are dealing with a child here. That this stubborness of Styl's is adolescent naivete and not the behavior of an adult. Either way Styl, I think you have burnt too many bridges with folks in this community, many of whom, who would have bent over backwards to help you with advice, counselling, knowledge and more. I can't think of one person, before you blatantly ignored them, the first time, then the second time and now a third time, who wouldn't have helped you in some way to get your venture rolling if they could. I believe you are out of chances. Go back and reread the other threads and this one. If you still feel the way you do about how this community has treated you....that you didn't bring this all down on yourself, well then have a good life.

Let it go. Styl's absurdity has been tested over and over. Now people are being fools for his entertainment. What other purpose could this thread possibly serve? All of his whines have been easily proved wrong, ficticous, or malicious.

Again, as I told you in my reply, since in your business, creativity is your product, I am wondering what you will offer to your clients, if even the name you choose for your company is not original. From what I'm seeing Mr. Styl Skinner, you are alienating yourself from the community.
1) You claim to be a professional and then upload "unfinished" or "unprofessional" work. Uploading unfinished work is not very professional at all. This reflects negatively on you.
2) Then you attack a professional group of respected skinners in the community and try to steal their name. Obviously to gain better exposure for your works, after it was explained to you who the name was associated with. This reflects negatively on you.
3) You attack the work of all skinners in one of your recent threads.(thread #29 link #3 Essencay)

Repair advice: Fix your skin completely, Change your name, and apologize to anyone who you have insulted. This will raise your credibility immediately. And, you will be viewed as nice and humble.

You have jumped all the hoops and created more reasons to use the name than reasons to create an original name.
You were told directly and publicly by one of the creators and member of Skindicate NOT to use the name yet the words fell into suborned deaf ears.
You claim to be a 'professional' business person yet you go around ignoring all the rules of the business.
You also claim to be a 'professional' graphic designer yet your website is a mock of someone else’s work.
If this is the 'originality' of the work you offer your 'costumers' then your reputation as an artist really sucks.
For someone that claims so much professionalism, your latest skin and gallery don’t reflect any of that.
On one of your past post you stated that some 'idiot' paid you $400.00 for the template/graphics of your TSF mock-off site. So it raises many doubts about your professionalism and treatment of your 'costumers'
Your gallery doesn’t reflect much of a ‘professional’ artist either. I’ve seen more work and better quality from people that are just starting in this field.

Yes....any incomplete skin will attract low ratings...as this one has.
Issues of name-use/plagiarism would attract an alternative censure method.
I see little future for anyone in taking the user name of a fellow Wincustomize.com site administrator and expect to be able to promote such on this very same site.
