So all in all..the XP files in zips are personality files that SkinStudio generates. Please note that Windows can't open them...SkinStudio might be able to though.

Another FILExt entry also reroutes to sss. Stardock SkinStudio? Is that what it stands for?

Yes, you need the programs, Skin Studio and Windowblinds, to properly read the extensions contained in the skins, and to install the skins. Trial versions of both programs are available.
Skin Studio is the program for editing windowblind skin files. Windowblinds is the program to install the skin. Hope this helps.

the .xp files are additional skins settings but exclusive to XP computers, as opposed to the .ini file that touches skinning features common to all Windows versions. .sss are more skins configurations files, and so are the .toolbaricons and the .animations. Open them in Notepad, you'll see, it's just a .ini with a different extension.

Follow-up. I have ran into SSD at a dead stop. WindowBlinds Personality File AND WindowBlinds Compound Personality. 
I think this is the last of the files, yet what is .WB4? I need to go further on that one.

Why are you so curious about the file extensions? Do you think that Stardock could be sending viruses within the zips? I just don't understand this dissection of the extensions. There are many programs that use special extensions for the purpose of that specific program, Stardock is hardly unique here.

I think because everyone wanted to get away from the older style legacy type .ini extensions and the way that windows processed them, that the whole extension gamut is being run anyways, all they are, are ini files of a sort. a simple way for a program to parse, and store a configuration or store a transient state information, or information customized to a specific use. plain and simple.

A .wba file is just a special zip file that can be read be Windowblinds to apply a skin for the GUI. It is nothing special. If you are concerned about viruses or spyware, look at the certification at the lower right of the main wincustomize site. Not only is windowblinds spyware free, but it is also certified by Microsoft as a legal program. Microsoft doesn't support programs that are copyright violations.
You can also change the wba to zip and scan within it via most Virus scanning programs and it will come up clean of viruses. All programs use special extensions that can only be read if you have the software to read them. Try reading a DVD without DVD software. Try reading a doc file without word processing software. Try reading video compression files without the proper codecs. It's all the same. Once you have the proper programs installed, the target extension is associated with that program, and can be read within that program. Try running most games without the CD in the drive to read the files on your hard drive once the game is installed.

What this actually is to expand further is the Configuration file, that tells a WindowBlinds how to deploy the Images designed for the particular "skin" it is included in. It is basically a ini file for the skin. They are not meant to be opened. They are a refference file. They are meant to be read by windowbinds. They can be opened for quick editing, in Notepad, or any text utility.
