How can you say a pc is better than a Mac?

I have owned a mac for 2 years now and have been through the change over from OS 9 to OS X Jaguar. I am just so tired of people saying a PC is better and more functional than a Mac. I use a PC at work and I hate it. So buggy that I have to restart every hour on the hour sometimes more often. The only thing I have to say about the Tiger coming and "copying" a Mac is more rock solid and user freindlly than a PC will ever be. and who ever wants to argue that point with [email protected] comments are welcome....

OK, I assumed wrong thinking that you were talking about Microsoft, but still the statement
is not right. UNIX is not equivalent to PC. UNIX was not written with a Intel or AMD processor in mind. UNIX runs on all sorts of processors, and most UNIX OS's have nothing to do with Personal Computers.
Yes, LINUX (UNIX like) does run on these Intel processors along with lots of other processors, and yes even the PowerPC. So what's the point?
How does the fact that OSX is based on UNIX have anything to do with PC's? I just don't see the connection.
I am not bashing Mac's or PC's. I use them both. I also use Window's base OS's along with Mac OS's, LINUX, HP-UX, SunOS, Solaris, AIX, & TRU64. I have used several others in the past. They all have their advantages and disadvantages.
Why so many people get their underwear in such a twist over which is best, is something I will never understand.

I love BIG MAC's
Within a month, I have been able to download two cd's from Sony's SonicStage Connect Music Store...
...In case your not familiar with what I am saying...with the purchase of a BIG MAC combo meal, you receive one free download, from Connect Music Store...
...Back to topic...Never used a MAC, and most likely never will...PC never *knock on wood gives me problems...

I think Macs used to be better, back when Windows was built on top of DOS. Now with all the convergent technology, they're more alike than ever. BTW, we have to reboot the Macs at work easily ten times more than the PCs. Every time the servers are down for maintenence, the PC's are connected back up within a minute, while every Mac, and we have about 30, has to be re-booted and manually logged back onto every server, and we have about 5 of those![I'd like to drop-kick one little G3 in particular right out the door!]

Ive seen odd tips for reasons why MAC crashes, you have to rebuild your desktop every month with an odd key combo at startup, the computer will go nuts if theyr is more then one extension with the same extention? You have to do some pretty dumb maintenance.
PC -Scandisk, Defrag, Update, Virus scan Thats it.
Can be all automated and has logical purposes and you dont even have to be in front of the computer for that to be done...

defrag again, spyware scan, upgrade driver, lose settings, reboot, resource conflict, scandisk again, defrag, re-install OS, kick cat...resume glue-sniffing, defrag cat, disassemble mouse, swap jumpers, dust fans, defrag, reboot, RTFM, ignore AA meeting, trip on 12th step, apologise to cat, reformat, kick screen, defrag, eat nicotine patch, upgrade mouse mat, defrag...

I mostly do it all with my eyes closed.
Drivers arent that much of a hassle with XP.
Any OS, its always healthy to do a clean install after a while.
I feel more in control and feel good using pc ,windows or linux.
But with Mac its like throwing away your freedom and giving your self to a dictatorship of some kind.
Hardware Freedom, Il stay with my MSI

Solution: stop spending the whole workday downloading shady warez off of kazaa. Your registry must be a swamp lol
The last time Windows XP Pro crashed on me was.......well, hasn't happened yet actually. Then again, I built this baby from the ground up (something you can't do with a mac) and I take good care of her

BTW if you need to restart your PC every hour on the hour, then you need a new PC
