I thought Venom was initially drawn to Spiderman, and acted as an Uber Suit for him, enhancing his powers, then it went nutso and was hosted by another and them went totally Evil?

If I remember correctly, there was a mini-series of comics called Secret Wars. Kind of a cross-over of all Marvel characters. Anyway, Peter Parker finds the black goo and it becomes his new Spidey suit. But the public hated it so much, they brought back the old suit, gave the new suit a brain, and made it a bad guy.

I'm not a big fan as you can guess...

But you should go and see Spider-Man 2, it was awesome. Saw it on the opening day here in DK. Really nice 3d graphics

True, I think Brock would be a good pick for a character that's supposed to be a beast, Goldberg was Awesome in Universal Solider

the guy they had on the tv show was great but it was a terrible treatment....lame
