mail system in the movie euro trip

In the movie when he gets mail there is a mail screensaver and the computer talks to him, has anyone seen that?
This may be a dumb question but is there a mail service like that?

Sorry about erratic posting guys - got a little caught up with pre-work stuff - specifically getting my wife out of the front door before she hit me for using the pc before she'd even had a coffee
You could be right Jafo - what can I say if there ever was anything it wasn't very persistant - I have no system conflicts with it and I have a really neat e-mail facility - for me any trade off was worth it.

Ok, boy has checking this out ever been a roller-coaster ride through hell. My take on incredimail so far is if you don't need it, ain't interested in the extra's don't get it just to try out and remove again unless you're about to reformat or you've got a spare machine.
If you have my experience you have software that works perfectly and can be fun to play with (apart from once when I had to reconfigure a setting in reverse to that which was recommended - go figure). On that occasion I contacted customer support - it took them 2 days to reply but once I was in the loop we exchanged something like half a dozen e-mails until we cracked the problem - nice and polite no problem. I also contacted them recently to check on how whether it could be configured to use AVG by default - I got a full and useful answer the next day. In fairness I do have the premium/paid version and wouldn't necessarily expect the same for the free version.
Any adware/spyware has been taken care of by the usual proprietary means as far as I can tell.
It has never crashed this or my previous system (Dell Pentium 200 with 98SE) or caused any obvious hang up.
I can find sites that have very negative things to say - but thats true of all mass use software. I think it fair to say they do like to leave a big footprint some people say for them its buggy and they clearly do collect non-attributable info as stated in the EULA. Ultimately I think its a love it or hate it piece of software - personally I love it and for me it works perfectly. Some folks hate it equally as much.
I have seen the EULA described as being possible illegal in one place - to the best of my knowledge it is based on the requirements of the American legal framework and if that is the case then then the key thing for me is this:-
IncrediMail does not link IP addresses to any personally identifiable information, even if such information is voluntarily provided by a User.
As far as I know there is no proof anywhere that the creators/suppliers of incredimail are an out and out illegal site making massively fraudelent claims about their privacy policy in order to link your every movement with your name and address and sell the information to third parties. Basically if you want to be put off it forever I can provide links to do that - if you want to feel re-assured I can provide what I think are reputable links that'll do that too.
I'm very tired now - can I go out and play ?

As dearly as I would love to make this entire thread dissappear, and I do console myself that in time it will - I don't want to leave DWatson hanging, worried or disappointed.
So if you DW, are wanting to run it but are still struggling with some settings then feel free to post back and I'll help you if I can.

Well... I felt stupid because I was entering the wrong address, drank some some orange soda, went to the bathroom, then turned on the XBOX and played pacman world 2, now I'm up and I realize my mistake and am still going to use it, my Spybot didn't recognize it either. Plus I see that it's microsoft certified...?

1. Is your outlook express configured to work - incredimail has an auto-configure option that should feed you settings from that.
2. On the yahoo site in the mail help - there is a section all about configuring incredimail for yahoo
3. I think the same applies on the incredimail site.
4. Check out the link on #24 on that page you're taken too is a link to incredimail hints and tips or some such that deals with using Hotmail.

The request to get the yahoo mail is always rejected by the yahoo server
I use SBC Yahoo DSL
I've almost given up on yahoo, but really want it to receive those emails, it would be alot easier.
I have got hotmail workin now, is there a storage limit?

The Yahoo should be easy - have you got it configured to work with outlook express - is your yahoo account set up as a POP3 account?
With Hotmail as I say, I don't use em - but the storage limit question has thrown me a bit - as the mail once received is stored on your computer. The only other place to check would be with your Hotmail provider to see what the limit is on your mailbox there.
Which brings me on to a related point. You can configure Incredimail specifically to work with Norton Anti Virus and I know (cos I asked them) that while you can't configure it for AVG it does refer to it).
Personally I tend not to download with Incredimail - I use it with the notifier then check with mailwasher and only if I'm sure about the source do I download with incredimail. It is fairly configurable.

Just please confirm that you have visited your Yahoo acct and checked it is set for POP3 - double check also if your address is .com or .co.uk - also be aware that it can take up to 24 hrs before any change to the status of your account is registered I think. So if you have changed your account today to a POP3 account it may take a while for it to activate as such - yet again all the info should be in the Yahoo Mail FAQ site.
Additional - nix that link DW - the first part is useful as a guide to checking settings - but the rest is domain specific not general - will find you a Yahoo specific link if I can and post again.

Right DW first off try rebooting and try sending again.
If that doesn't work go to this link and follow the instructions for making sure your ports are listening

Guy needs to stop listening to voices....
I have a feeling it is not as squeaky clean as some might propose....
