He's only kidding .... the "Drop Bear" mostly just urinates on politicians!!
Of the 12 most deadly snakes in the world 11 species reside in Australia .... but they help keep the arachnoid population under control.
Wombats are resonsible for most tourist deaths and 90% of the country road MVA casualties.
The 'Darwin Stubby' kills a large number of Territorians each year and has been blamed for Cyclone Tracey....and of course, the Dingo is a known killer of baby Humans ... poor bloody Dingos!
However, if one has a pointed stick and ball of string, one can handle most anything on the Island Continent .... except the 'Bunyip Terra Australis' .... a night stalker with no mercy .... commonly known as 'Jafo'!

and justifiably, too....
Re the snakes....I thought it was 6 out of the top ten and we filled the first 4 places.....
Anyway, I've taken to riding with my mobile phone in case of any unfortunate encounters.....as a kid on a school camp we were told we had 1 chance in a million of ever seeing a snake....ten minutes later we clearly had had 2 million chances as we saw 2....both good-sized tigers [around 6 footers].
The same teacher sat on a log the next day....looked down at his feet and there was one curled up at his feet....he flipped backwards over the log to avoid it.....down the embankment and broke his arm.
Teach was none too clever....
