Need Help With ObjectDock

Hi, I'm pretty much a noob at this whole skinning stuff, but I dont know how to change some of my icons into some of the otDock things, I saw some cool icons from Jairo Boudwyn, but when I downloaded it it was just a folder with 2 pictures in it, I downloaded ObjectDock, but all it did was give me on of those taskbar things like on Mac's, how do I change my icons into the ObjectDick things, or is there another thing you need to change them?

That's what ObjectDock does.........
There are 2 types of icons for ObjectDock, true .ico files, and .png files. You can't use PNG for Windows icons.

you want to use .png image formats for your objectdock shortcuts. jairo makes nice packages, he usually includes both the .ico incon formats and the .png images for each graphic. use the icons with windows or iconpackager, or with something like objectbar.

Can someone elaborate on this further? Can you use a .ico file with ObjectDock, and if so, what is the purpose of the .png file? If I'm creating a shortcut for ObjectDock, must I OR should I use a .png file for the icon?

You can use either .png or .ico for the dock. Jairo usually includes a ZIP file that has a ZIP file of icos and another of PNGs inside it. I usually use PNG because I think they look better but it really depends on who made the pack. Then I'll usually keep the .ICO files in case I want to use them somewhere else on my system. As Koasati said you need ICO for the regular Windows icons.

From what I heard icon files use more CPU and Object Dock responds slower or somthing like that. I personally never tried it so I don't know how it will react on my computer.
