Does ANYONE still use ICQ? No-one that I used to chat to on it is there anymore!
I've just gone back to it after discovering that you can now use it without having to download it! It's called ICQ2go.. Wonderful invention as I am not allowed to DL stuff onto the works PC!

That's the impression I try to gice when working.... Lots of typing seems to do the trick!

OK..can someone fill me in on this ICQ thingy? I'm relatively new to the PC thing still and I've never used the ICQ thing. Is it free or does it cost to download and use it?

Cool...I was just checking out ICQ lite and saw there might be an issue with a firewall. I'm using a Norton Firewall, so I'm wondering if this will be an issue. And I was also looking through some links they had there for configuring a firewall but saw nothing listed for WindowsXP.

Cool MrXaltec...that sounds a little better since I was seeing all this stuff in the faq's there about viruses, spam, and generally junk I'd rather stay away from.

You're welcome... I'm guessing ICQ2go is ok... I use it on works PC and the firewalls here are top notch naturally.
When I was using full downloaded ICQ I never had any probs tho!... Maybe I was just lucky!

I've used ICQ for years, never had any problems with any virus, spam, etc. It all depends on how you set it up.

I never had any probs with it either... apart from not recieving messages sometimes... or messages taking ages to get thru!

I had a few romantic rondevues from there a couple of years ago. I don't use it myself anymore. It was a great place to take the chicks.
