And if so how do I run it?

I thought I would make a joke about booting to the command line prompt and typing format c:\, but then I realised some innocent soul might read this thread and actually do it I'm glad my brain clicked back into gear. Didn't Win98 have a regcleaner from MS?

Yes, but it was an additional downloadable tool. Some say it still works, but i never used it on XP though. I use TuneUp Utilities and Norton now.

Spybot - Search and Destroy. All I use, aside from AdAware. Keeps things running smoothly, without annoying little gremlins.

no thanks but thanks anyways guys. Has to be Microsoft made because everything else is either to intrusive or messing things up. Norton is really bad.

I've always had less than great luck with reg cleaners, but the tools in System Mechanic 4 are very safe, Kona......... It makes back ups, so even if it does cause a problem, you can do a restore. Try it, you might like it.

yes, I work on Computers from time to time. Not my full time job. More like a thing on the side, like my ebay sales.

Anyways, thanks all. Much apreciated.
