Sorry folks, the post got too big, to the point where our system cant handle displaying all 869 pages. It was confusing people not being able to see all of the pages so instead of letting that go I've locked the post. Please do start another post though, I know this one was entertaining for a lot of you.

Ok, off topic and being that Gary is right here, I need some help 
I have this CD-R that is full of info I need. But for some reason I can't read it. I know the info is there (I put it there) when I go to it's properties, the CD is full...why can't I see it? What can I do?

I will assume that it is still installed...do you have a regular CD ROM hooked up versus the CD-R drive to put this disc in?

I love when you talk like that...put the disc in 'regular' CD Drive and it should read it.

OK...now we have to get serious...go into Device Manager and under ....wait a minute ....wrong info. Go to Device Mgr and under IDE ,Primary, Secondary, figure out which ones are your CD's and change Transfer Mode to 'PIO'......sorry, it's gettin' late
