So now what will we do? Put Suddam in a prison and feed/cloth him for the rest of his natural life? Kill him? Play patty-cake? Or let him go, so Bush can claim "I need to be reelected to catch Saddam"?
Question is, is it actually Saddam? Or is someone playing a joke, so Bush can get more points in the media for re-election times. Who knows, I dunnot care.

However, it would a very astute political move to do so.
Bin Laden seems to more than capable of disproving that theory.
And FWIW .... the forces involved in the operation were not exclusively from the US.... a little perspective please.
