Old Crabs Deer Herd

Thursday, November 20, 2003 by Old_Crab | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I've been feeding a small herd of deer for the past 6 years. I have 3 feeding stations and put out feed everyday. They've become quite tame in cautious way. Anyway CC and I were fixing a balky water pump and saw a guy with a rifle climb over my boundry fence and take out toward the creek. I had CC stay at the pump and went to check as to why he had crossed over onto my land. Short and to the point he had seen a 6 point buck and was going for a set of antlers. I asked him politely if he'd noticed my NO TRESSPASSING Signs and he replied that he didn't take no mind of such things.
Anyway....if Walter D. Simmons wishs to, he may now pick up his rifle at the Waller County Sheriffs Dept. and explain to them why he lost it. >

I want to add to this that I usually do not advocate violence. Unfortunately in this guys case he ruffled my feathers the wrong way. Hence I had to cold-cock him. As to his means of transportation I called Ivy's garage and they towed it. Anyway, take that Britney Spears. >

Kudos to OC!

Aren't you in Texas, OC? I'm under the impression that as a general rule ignoring NO TRESPASSING signs in Texas isn't a wise move.

sig101 yes. And yes. Ignoring NT's are in general not a very wise move in Tx. It often results in one's demise. Literally. >

Nothing irks me more than the senseless slaughter of defenseless animals, for the perverse sake of collecting its antlers!

Deer, packing AK-47's.... now that's something I'd like to see!

Well done O.C.

OK, I missed something.
A) the guy says he didn't about the sign
he now needs to pick up his riffle at the sheriff department

What happened between A and B?

A few years ago I was in france in a mountain area. The land was mainly 'properite prive' so I was walking the main time over the road.
When I tought it couldn't hurt walking a time trough the forest next to it I was looking for a path to get in.
After 10 minutes walking I found it and I turned into the path. When I just walked 20 meters I crossed a sign witch said:

'WATCH OUT, ANIMAL TRAPS, CONTINUE ON OWN RISK' I figured out that I could better turn around

Maby you should do the same OC.

Again..

Old Crabs story reminds me of the time I found on the side of the road bordering our property, two full sized deer with the antlers cut off.

The deer were by that time pretty ripe, but I must say, I never felt so much anger.

There are Sportsman and there are, well, I can't say THAT here. >
