Problem Uploading my Bootskin

I get this error when I upload... How can i fix it for the .Bootskin file?

Error uploading file: Invalid format

The file : 'Alienware.zip' is not allowed to be uploaded (Error 1010)

wait doesn't work, just restarted my computer using it. I think you need to change the number of colors to 16, no less no more. So don't upload it yet

Color of BMP must be 4-bit (16 colors).

alright there are only 16 actual colors, but the bmp isn't saved in a 4bit format, i think. I found that you need to make a color table for the bmp with 16 colors. If you also made a progress bar it would have to have the same color table. Since it has to have a color table it can't be rgb which is what your bmp is, it needs to be indexed. If you want its a simple matter to do this and i'll be nice and do it for you and fix the bootskin file link above to a fixed bootskin

you did it right. try the link above again. and test it(move your original out of the bootskin folder and install the new one) before you upload it.

Ok its been uploaded and I believe it works, Im guessin it will be on the site in the morning... Thanks for the help Travis... What did u think of the skin itself?

nice, but i am not an alienware fan. cool boxes , high prices, same guts as most anyother high range pc.

does bootskin let u do animations with the skins, like make them fade in or anything neat like that?
