Just Because

Hey guys.  This is what you can do with Windows 11 without WindowBlinds or Curtains.  Just saying.

Not so bad?

I realize that Start 11 might help a bit, but no point until we have WB 11.  My opinion.  YMMV.

I like the wall Jim.

It looks pretty good but can't really get in for a close look.

The problem would be without WB or Curtains that the style would always be the same. All you could is change the color.

This is true, but still not so bad.  Better than Vista.

Newbie here...

Took a screenshot of Windows 11 in high contrast mode.  One complaint about Win11 (and Win10) was they didn't extend  dark mode to legacy apps like Wordpad and admin tools like Task manager. Turns out Microsoft did revamp the high contrast themes for Win11.  This is "Dusk".  I think it's not bad at all--kind of retro neon.   Sorry clicked start menu before taking screen shot, but active window is aqua color.

Also, Start11 looks great in high contrast mode, not really affected at all.  You just have to recolor the start menu manually.

One caveat is most people don't want to visit websites in high contrast mode.  For Chrome based browsers set the "forced colors" flag to disable.

I may just keep using high contrast until WB11 comes out

Sorry but I see nothing worth having here...

Here's one with some color.

A bad thing Microsoft did with Windows 11 contrast mode was they removed the ability to change the window frame colors in settings.  I found this run command on reddit that brings back the legacy color options:

shell:::{ED834ED6-4B5A-4bfe-8F11-A626DCB6A921} -Microsoft.Personalization\pageColorization

Used Start11 to change the menu and task bar colors, and also shrink the task bar size.

Sure, no one is going to pay for a window blind that looks like this, but for Windows 11 users who really really need a comprehensive dark  mode right now that works on admin tools and legacy apps, the contrast themes aren't such a bad option...my opinion.
