October Desktops
Wednesday, October 1, 2003 by Frogboy | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
Using:
DesktopX (www.desktopx.net) for the pumpkins, meters, calendar, ghosts, and the spiffier icon size/shadow.
IconPackager package of icons from Pixtudio (www.iconzone.com)
WindowBlinds "Trick or Treat" from Pixtudio. I modified this myself to get more useful colors.
CursorXP "Halloween Cursors" so that my cursor is a candy corn. It's pretty cool. I also modified it in CursorXP to be a bit larger than default.

| First, you take the actual screenshot. You do this by hitting the print screen button up at the top of your keyboard, by F12. You then go into your image editor and hit "Paste". The image will show up. Then, save the file as a jpeg. Now, here on WinCustomize, go into "Edit Account". There you should find a button marked "Upload or Edit your Desktop Image". Go into there and upload your image and choose a title for it. Now, go into your profile by going into "Edit Account" again and hitting the "View My Profile" button. Click on your desktop image to get the large size. Now, right click on it and hit properties. Then farther down in the properties box you will see the url of the image. Copy that entire adress by selecting it and hitting ctrl-C. Now, go to this thread and hit the "Insert Image" button under the smilies. Past the adress into the box by hitting ctrl-V, and then hit Ok. Now you can put your text in before or after the image and then hit Submit. Thats it your done! |
Just a recap for all of those who need the assistance.

I really liked Tiggz GT2 Object Bar. Here it is with his Rainlender, the Object Dock mailchecker,
water plants and shark by DaWebMassa, other fishies by Stardock, and metrix DX AlianBoneMeters by
mormegil. Oranda cursers premium suite, and not shown is Strange World WindowBlinds, by LightStar
as ported by SnidelyWhiplash. The mail checker is by AndreasV.

I love my purple desktop. I want to give some lovin' to:
adni18 for the Shine Icons
Zodiac for the BP-XPG Purple Windowblind
sed for the Tybersis wall
pinchecl for the SysMetrix (which I tweaked a little in Photoshop)
The Cursors are the Cursor XP default and the Rainlender is a tweaked version of the original.
I work from home and have to look at my desktop 12 hours+ per day -- I HAVE to change it up or go crazy.
Thanks, skinners.
