A new era in Windows UI design. How will WindowBlinds adapt ? Or will it ? Let's talk about it.

I don't use Windowblinds. I prefer the default look of Windows. So I say bring it, whatever the end design will end up being. As long as my games still work.

With MS continually fiddling with the UI and introducing changes that inhibit or prevent customisation, I doubt that Windowblinds and other UI enhancers will work too well. As it is MS has hard coded various aspects of the UI, now it's a question as to how much more will MS do to frustrate developers and/or users?

Maybe they will frustrate users to the point they jump ship to Apple/Linux. Who knows?

Maybe Apple to some extent, but Linux just isn't mainstream or mature enough to replace a Windows OS. There are some who like the Mac OS, even prefer it, but again, it has some way to catch up with Windows 10 in terms of usability and wouldn't be considered by the majority of PC users. Not only that, Apple has been removing apps from its OS as well as hard coding the UI so it cannot be altered.
Nope, I don't see too many jumping ship.... or more succinctly put, jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

I've actually thought about jumping back to Windows 7. I cannot honestly say that I'm happier with Win 10.

I'm still on 7 on the primary machine...and with a proggy called '0 Patch' you aren't really left behind security-wise, even after MS gave up on it.
System is stable....even looks much like Win 10 with Start10 on it...

I might even look into Win 7 again if 10 goes all out with a hard-coded UI. I don't actually have a legit copy of Win 7 at the moment, but it is still available via several online outlets. There again, I do have legit versions of Win 8, which I can make look the same as Win 7 with ObjectDesktop apps.

Paul, are you using the "free" version, or "pro" version?

I've decided that today is the day that I reclaim my happiness. Windows 10 has always felt like a suit that doesn't fit me properly , has always felt uncomfortable. Today I'm re-installing my beloved Windows 7 Ultimate. Like a well worn pair of Levi jeans , Win 7 has always brought me great comfort. I'm tired of Microsoft trying to force their will upon me , I'm done with that. Today I start doing things the way I want to do them.

Why not go back to MS DOS or carve letters into stone again? Since Win 10 I have never looked back to Windows 7. Windows 10 has been here for 6 (!!!) years now I completely fail to understand this thread. Sorry.

You're free to have an opinion just like everyone else. You really haven't told us anything that we didn't already know. My everyday vehicle is a 1989 Dodge Dakota Pickup truck. It runs and rides as good as any "modern" vehicle. I prefer it over any "modern" vehicle. Why then, should I not just go back to using a wooden cart pulled by oxen , or a horse drawn carriage ? According to your logic , we should all conform to what YOU prefer rather than what we prefer to make us happy. If you fail to understand this thread , don't be sorry , be tolerant , maybe then your life wouldn't suck so much.

Only that Your Dodge has no security flaws nobody patches anymore. Oh, wait. modern cars are more secure when it comes to staying alive in accidents, but hey.
If You want to host the botnet of the future, feel free to do so.
And I never said anybody should conform to me. Do as You like. And tolerance seems pretty one way to You also.

Pro Version.
I checked out the 'Free' and liked what I saw....and figured buying the Pro was still a heck of a lot less pain than moving a 6 year old OS install to Win 10...

Carl ...the use of 0 Patch negates any and all security issues with an older OS. In fact it's even more secure than 10 as the updates are constant...
